Copyright law provides the creator of a work the right to
The Kazakhstani Copyright Law (Eng, Rus, Kaz) applies to all works created and used in the territory of Kazakhstan.
Unlike other countries such as U.S and Canada, there are no fair use or educational use provisions that allow whole works to be reproduced (digitized) for educational purposes or make accessible versions such as large print or braille. Only one copy "of isolated articles or succinct works" can be made for education or research.
Works you created while in the employment of a Kazakh company still belong to you unless specified in a contract. For information on NU visit my.nu.edu.kz to find the NU Intellectual Property Policy.
Copyrighted works become public domain after 70 years.
All laws related to intellectual property and copyright are listed on the WIPO website or visit egov.kz for information on how to register your copyright as well as the National Institute of Intellectual Property.
