Chicago Reference Guide

Guide to Chicago citation style using the 18th Edition of the Chicago Manual of Style.

About Chicago Style

The Chicago Manual of Style offers two distinct documentation methods:

  • Notes and Bibliography system one for the humanities (history, fine arts, philosophy, and political science)
  • Author-Date system for the sciences and social sciences.

In this guide you will find information and examples to help you cite the sources both in the note/bibliography style and author-date styles.
