How to Set up an Alert: Google Scholar Alerts

Here's a guide on how to set up search alert notifications

Google Scholar Alerts

1. Go to Google Scholar and enter your search term / phrase.

2. On the left side of the screen you will see a  icon.

3. After clicking that icon, you will be asked to enter and set your alert query, email and number of search results. After choosing your preferences, click CREATE ALERT.

Now, you have created an alert for individual search topics.

To set up individual article citations and get notification of your own publication and future citations, Penn Libraries have created a guide for that, follow this link to learn more on how to set up these alerts.
