Short Loan (Course Reserves)

The Nazarbayev University Library provides short loan service as part of its Course Reserves for limited materials to support the learning, teaching, and research activities of students, researchers, and staff and to ensure that essential materials are available to all who need them.

Short Loans are materials given for a short loan period (2 hours or overnight) upon faculty or researcher request during the semester or another period of time.

To Request  

Requester should accomplish the course reserve request form, send an email to coursereserves@nu.edu.kz, or contact their Subject Librarian.

To Borrow and/or Return

• Course reserves will be labeled in Primo.
• Borrow or renew short loan materials for 2 hours at the Circulation Desk on the 2nd/3rd floor to use in the Library only, OR
• Borrow Short Loan materials overnight for two hours before the Library closes. The materials must be returned by 11 a.m. on the following day.
• Visitors and temporary users can not borrow Short Loan materials for overnight.
