Zotero is a free citation management system that will help you collect, manage, cite, and share research.

  • Zotero helps you organize your research any way you want. You can sort items into collections and tag them with keywords.
  • Zotero creates references and bibliographies directly inside Word and Google Docs. With support for over 10,000 citation styles, you can format your work to match any style guide or publication.
  • You can download Zotero on the Zotero download page.
    Be sure to also install the Zotero Connector for your browser in addition to the Zotero desktop app. Visit the Zotero download page to get the Zotero Connector. The browser extensions enable you to effortlessly add items from web pages to your Zotero library by clicking on the extension button located to the right of the browser search bar.
  • Zotero can optionally synchronize your data across devices, keeping your files, notes, and bibliographic records seamlessly up to date. If you decide to sync, you can also always access your research from any web browser.
