InterLibrary Loan

Delivery Service policies

  • The service delivers books between the Main Library and the NUSOM Library. 
  • This service is only available for the NU Community.
  • The maximum request allowance per week is 3 copies for one person.
  • Items will be held for 3 days at the pick-up library. After that time,  unclaimed items will be shipped back to the owning library
  • Patrons who do not pick up the requested item will be banned from the service from the service for one month. A second offence will result in a six-month ban
  • The borrowing period is according to the library rules.
  • Periodicals, videos/DVDs, audiobooks, and maps are excluded from this delivery service.

Requesting an Item for Delivery

  1. Search for the item you need in the catalog.
  2. Check availability* and location.
  3. Click Book Delivery Service under the Quick Links tab on the Library website.
  4. Fill out the form.
  5. You will be notified by email about the status of the order.

*Titles that are not available (0 out of Х) are not covered by the service.

Expected Delivery Schedule

The requested items will be delivered on Thursdays

Requests submitted after 12:30 pm. on Thursday will be processed and delivered next Thursday.
