This guide will assist you in finding books and other resources that provide guidance on various wellbeing issues. You will also find further information about the collection and other resources and NU support services.
The Read Well Live Well Collection was launched so that NU students and staff may find insightful books, materials and helpful information to support various aspects of their wellbeing, encompassing physical and mental health issues. Whether you're looking to manage stress, improve your time management, learn about relaxation techniques, explore mindfulness to combat anxiety or navigate a better work-life balance, we have books that can help. These resources are intended to guide you and not substitute professional consultation.
Books in this collection are shelved across various sections of the Library, and some titles are available as eBooks. Please check our new online Read Well Live Well Collection exhibition, see some suggestions below, or browse our online and physical books and resources via Primo Search.
The Relax Room is a quiet space designed for the NU community to take a break from stressful activities.
The room has soft seating and natural lighting, making it an ideal place to clear your mind, meditate, practice relaxation techniques, and reduce stress.
The library actively participates in NU Stress Relief Week, with various events and activities to support students during the crucial exam preparation period.
This program offers a range of engaging activities and resources designed to help you manage stress, support relaxation, and nurture creativity throughout Stress Relief Week.
The Autumn 2024 program is available at nu-kz.libcal.com.
NU Library continues to grow a collection of general literature, new and classic novels and fiction, chosen to encourage the NU community to take time out to read for pleasure and wellbeing.
You can find all the books via Primo Search; however, nothing compares to the experience of browsing books in person! Visit the Library's Extension on Floor 3 to explore our collection.
