Eurasian Academic Libraries Conference - 2020: Call for Papers

 

Call for Papers and Posters

In the past years, libraries have undergone a significant number of changes to become an important asset of the academic community and provide excellent services, exceptional resources, and a sufficient environment. The rapid development opens new opportunities and different challenges that libraries consciously anticipate. The program committee seeks conference papers and posters addressing proactive steps that professionals take to support the library patrons in the evolving world of the academy.

Suggested proposals should be in line with the theme and should be based on the following topics:

Formatting

Informative abstracts

  1. Must be original and have not been published or presented at any other prior conferences
  2. Must be written in English
  3. With less than 500 words
  4. Include the purpose of the study, methodology, findings, practical applications, and a statement of originality (the value of the paper).

Paper

  1. Submitted titles and abstracts should be original and written in English.
  2. Full papers may be written in Russian and Kazakh. 
  3. In submitting abstracts and full papers, authors should register and create their EasyChair account and upload papers using the conference paper management system to the correct conference with this acronym (EALC 2020) on https://easychair.org/
  4. Papers should be double-spaced. Use Times New Roman with font size 12.
  5. Limit the number of words to less than 5,000. 
  6. Include a brief biographical note containing less than 50 words.
  7. Use APA style 6th edition in citing and referencing.

Poster

  1. Submitted posters should be original and written in English, Russian and Kazakh languages.
  2. In submitting posters, authors should register and create their EasyChair account and upload documents using this conference paper management system. Make sure you are submitting to the correct conference with this acronym (EALC 2020) on http://easychair.org 
  3. The display should summarize your research results using visuals such as tables, graphs, and pictures.
  4. Use APA style 6th edition in citing and referencing.
  5. A0 size Portrait (85 cm x 120 cm); in .pdf or .jpg format with resolution at least 300 dpi

Presentation

  1. We would appreciate receiving the pre-recorded presentations using MS Powerpoint with audio voiceover.
  2. The length of the presentation must be limited or reduced to 10 minutes.
  3. The presentation should be sent together with the transcript.
  4. If other than MS Powerpoint, please let us know before August 20, 2020.

Submission Terms and Conditions

When submitting an abstract, indicate whether it is for oral or poster presentation (eg. Title [oral], Title [poster]).

All submitted materials will go through a peer-review process by an international review committee. Each document will be reviewed by three individual reviewers

Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to the submitting (corresponding) author.

All accepted papers will be published in the proceedings. All accepted posters will be published in Abstract Book.

The registration for speakers with accepted papers is free of charge.

Oral and poster presentations Terms

Accepted papers must be presented by the author/s during the conference. Presenters will be given 15 minutes each to present and 5 minutes for Q&A. 

Poster Presenters are responsible for creating and printing their own posters.

Accepted posters will be displayed at the poster session (the exact time and location will be listed in the final program). A representative of the study is also expected to remain by the poster during the coffee breaks.
