The Map Collection is a very young collection of maps, charts, atlases from around the world with an emphasis on geological and topographical maps of Central Asia and in particular, Kazakhstan. The collection grows through selection of resources by the Map Librarian and donations, in line with the Library's collection development policy. The collection features large paper topographic, geological, and geographical maps, as well as historical and modern maps of Central Asia region.
You can discover and locate the atlases, maps, books about cartography, GIS and related subjects in the library catalog using Advances search option.
The large paper Maps from Collection is located in a quiet study area on the 3rd floor with a large table for easy use of sheet maps. Large format scanning is not available in the library.
