Rooms and Equipment
The Main Library offers:
- Conference Room (5e228) is offered for hosting conferences and public lectures with simultaneous interpretation for up to 70 participants.
- Meeting Room (5e230) is a perfect place to host any business meetings and round tables for up to 24 participants.
- Seminar Room (5e416) accommodates up to 27 participants.
- Small Meeting Room (5e419) equipped with a round table and projector.
The rooms are located on the 2nd and 4th floors in the library extension and equipped with a projector, audio system, and glass whiteboards.
The Medical Library offers:
- Conference / Meeting Room (701/4) for up to 15 participants and equipped with a led screen.
If the hosts need hardware maintenance during the meetings or have a special request for equipment (audio system, microphone, etc.), please submit on https://helpdesk.nu.edu.kz.
Policy
- Rooms are available for meetings, workshops but not for ongoing classes or seminars. Library-related meetings are given priority use of the rooms.
- Rooms are available on
- Monday-Friday at 9:00 am - 9:00 pm
- Saturday-Sunday at 11 am - 7 pm.
- The rooms are locked with keys available upon request at the Circulation Desk 3rd floor in exchange of ID card.
- Do not leave the room unlocked or unattended at any time.
- Upon the completion of the meeting turn off all lights and the projector, if applicable, before leaving the room.
- The host is responsible for ensuring that the rooms are locked and return the key to the Circulation Desk.
- In case of a lost key, the requester has to make a duplicate of the key at his/her own expenses in two days.
- Materials and personal items left unattended may be removed by library staff.
- No full meals or messy foods are allowed in the rooms.
- Rooms should be left in a clean and orderly condition, ready for the next users.
- Do not damage or move in or out of the room the furniture.
- Use appropriate markers and erasers on the whiteboards or check them out at the Circulation Desk.
- The library reserves the right to revoke permission to use the room in the case of non-compliance with these policies.
How do I reserve a room?
- To reserve the rooms, please complete the online booking form.
- Indicate the date and the time of the meeting, and the times you would like the reservation to start and end.
- Your booking is complete when you receive an approving confirmation from the booking system.
- The rooms may be reserved up to one month in advance.
- Cancelations must be communicated in an email (library@nu.edu.kz) no fewer than four business days before the scheduled event.
- Department of Students Services (DSS) can submit reservation for students conferences and meetings.
